Background of the Conference

For more than 60 years, LPEM FEB UI remains to be one of the leading think-tank in Indonesia which has actively contributed to decision making processes through research, consulting, and training activities. Through its peer-reviewed journal, namely Economics and Finance in Indonesia (EFI), LPEM FEB UI communicates the findings of researches to wider international economic readership. EFI has steadily progressed over the last few decades and taken the lead in providing the outlets for the publication of qualified research papers on economics and finance in Indonesia and international. The scope of the conference covers all aspects related to economics and finance, both concerning Indonesia as well as international. EFI aims to bring together international and local researchers, young and senior researchers to discuss wide range of issues on economics and finance, both theoretically and empirically. As the oldest forum on economics and finance in Indonesia, EFI has produced many papers from many well-known participants, including Soemitro Djojohadikusumo, Boediono, Iwan Jaya Azis, Bustanul Arifin, Mohammad Ikhsan, Muh. Chatib Basri, Miranda Gultom Siregar, Faisal H. Basri, Dorodjatun Kuntjoro Jakti, Darmin Nasution, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Bambang P.S Brodjonegoro, Ari Kuntjoro, Bruce Glassburner, Anne Booth, Eriic D. Ramstetter, and many others. Original contributions of quantitative as well as qualitative analysis are solicited. Specific topics within the conference scope of economics and finance are most welcome.

 

Registration and Submission Guidelines

 

Registration and submission of abstract(s) and full paper(s) must be done electronically through the online submission system.

 

Abstract Submission: Manuscript must be in English and should present original idea and not published or submitted for publication in other forums. Extended abstract should outline the introduction, objectives, methodology, result & analysis, and conclusion. It should not be more than 300 words (MS Word using Times New Roman, 12pt font, maximum of 7 keywords and JEL codes). Electronic submission of extended abstract to http://submit.confbay.com/conf/cefi2015 website is required. Author(s) and contact information (title, names, affiliations, addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers and e-mail addresses) must be stated on the first page of paper or abstract. A selection of best papers will be invited to submit a full paper to be included as a chapter in Economics and Finance in Indonesia journal published by LPEM FEB UI.

Paper format: Submissions should be in MS Word format, following the EFI proceedings specifications located at "DOWNLOAD" Menu:

Paper Publication and Presenter Registration: Every accepted paper must have at least one author registered to the conference by time the paper submitted; the author is also expected to attend the conference and present the paper.

Conference Fee: There is no fees charged to participants who register. Fee fully sponsored! (Not included transportation cost to and from Jakarta, and accommodation cost)


The Special Session

LPEM FEB UI in partnership with GraSPP, The University of Tokyo, invites scholars, young researchers and graduate students from Indonesia and Japan to submit a paper to be presented in: “The Emerging Researchers Forum between Indonesia and Japan: Partnership Opportunities for Enhancing Human Capital, Innovation, and Competitiveness”, which will be held in Jakarta on December 1-2, 2015. The first day of this special session will be part of LPEM’s Conference on Economics & Finance in Indonesia. A paper of about 2,500 words in English should be submitted via email to chairinahanum@gmail.com / hanum@lpem-feui.org. The potential topics to be discussed on this forum include, but not limited to: Infrastructure, Public-Private Partnership, ASEAN connectivity, Human capital, Social programs, Workforce development, Innovation, and Competitiveness.
