Call for Papers

Nowadays, to raise the standard of living, consumers are required to be more sensitive on issues related to financial management and economic ambiance in the global market. Issues relating to savings, pensions, investments and insolvency among consumers should be emphasized and studied in greater extend. Having in depth studies on these areas would be able to minimize as well as to eliminate the financial problems encountered by most of the consumers, which is proven by the increasing insolvency rate lately. The consumers’ well being could be improved indeed. This seminar is expected to be a communication platform among researchers in producing more constructive ideas for the benefits of consumers and the country. This seminar is also a communication platform for researchers, consumers, NGOs, industries and policy makers.

Therefore, the main theme of the 19th MACFEA National Seminar is on Consumer & Finance. However, participants are not restricted to this theme only. Participants could also submit papers related to other areas of consumerism.

The 19th MACFEA Committee cordially invites scholars, researchers, government regulators, industry experts to submit seminar papers under the theme of Consumer & Finance.

All submissions should relate to this broad theme and address one or more of the seminar sub-themes:

Writing Language:  English / Malay


Proceedings/Publications:

The Seminar Proceedings: Accepted papers will be published in the seminar proceedings. The proceedings will be available in pendrive during the seminar.

There will be '5 MACFEA' best paper awards.

The Seminar Book – Collection of Working Papers:  Authors of selected papers presented at the 19th MACFEA National Seminar will be invited to submit their papers for inclusion in the book.

Selected papers presented in the conference will be considered for an expedited review process for a Malaysian Journal of Consumer and Family Economics (MAJCAFE) and Jurnal Pengguna Malaysia (JPM).
