INTRODUCTION

Travelling Shoes is excited to present you a culturethon event that gives you all the enjoyment you have been seeking for! Culturethon is a local event that imbued extraordinary and diverse melting pot of Malayisan traditional culture. This culturethon comprised of three regions; Central, Southern and Northern part of Malaysia.

Have you ever wonder what makes Malaysia so special besides being a harmonious country? Well, now is the time for you to experience Malaysia physically and emotionally. This culturethon will expose you with the traditional culture, local cuisine and traditional games in Malaysia that you have never experience before. It will be a memorable event that you never forget and experience anywhere!

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. Open to all international undergraduate and postgraduate students, who are pursuing their studies in local universities / colleges;
2. International students must hold a valid student pass / visa;
3. Aged 17 years old and above by June 2016;
4. The task will consist of number physical and mental challenges in the games that may involve elements surprise. Hence, all participants should be in good health and meet the minimum level of fitness to be able to withstand the physical and mental challenges in the race. Pregnant women and those with heart, back, neck, motion sickness and phobia of height problems are strongly advised not to participate in this race.
5. Must be available and willing to participate in the race for a period of 6 days 5 nights from 13th – 18th August 2016.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. All applicants must submit their entries / registration only via this registration site;
2. NO individual / group is authorised to collect entries on behalf of the Organiser;
3. NO personal walk-in submission will be entertained.
4. Registration for the event is only confirmed upon payment made and upon issuance of a participant’s registration number.
5. Once the registration has been processed and confirmed:
   > NO fee refund for participants who do not eventually take part in the event for whatever reason.
   > Strictly NOT ALLOWED to transfer their event entries to another party or participant.
6. Organiser reserves the right to verify your eligibility. Any incorrect and invalid information (including students ID number and passport number and failure to provide proof of requested documents) provided by applicant at any time will lead to disqualification and entry fee paid will be forfeited (no refund).
7. All participants will be randomly separated into groups of 6 and work as team in all the activities and games throughout the Event.
8. Selection of preferred region (Northern or Southern region) is based on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Once the quota for each region has completed, the Organiser reserves the right to assign the participant to another region. The selection is at sole discretion of the Event Organiser and no correspondence will be entertained on the same.
9. While every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the Participants’ safety, Participants run solely at their own risk and the Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from during, or after participation in the Event. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual Event Day.

Registration Tips

1.  Registration for Travelling Shoes: Malaysian Culturethon  must be done electronically through the online system.

2.  Click on the "Registration" menu to create ConfBay Account and proceed for registration by logging in the system.

3.  Before start registering, please have your scanned passport or IC (Malaysian) with Student ID (if student) document in one file.

4.  Choose the T-Shirt Size from the website.
