The biennial International Language and Education Conference 2017 (iLEC2017) returns with a simple theme- Research. Reflect. Connect. Research has always been at the forefront of scholarship axes. Within these axes, varying methods, analyses, issues, and themes, placed in different contexts are undoubtedly fundamental. Such integration of multi-faceted, multi-directional knowledge discoveries have never been untangled quite comprehensively, but to say such vigorous, sustained efforts are lacking is an understatement. Thus, while research has always substantiated some ideas and concepts, many other theories and models continue to be tested, discussed, debated, and replicated.
This conference, then, aims to stimulate these discussions regarding what we know about these subjects at hand, how we establish these issues at the broader level, and how these issues are linked to, but are not limited to language, education, and literary studies. Specifically, it encourages academics, teacher-trainers, language education policy-makers, teachers, consultants, to name a few, to discover scholarly opportunities, unlock intellectual endeavours, and navigate thought-provoking questions in the midst of changing and demanding language, education, and literary discourses. By convening at this conference, presenters and participants will be able to exchange ideas and bridge institutional and scholarship networks.
