The FSU International Research Convention (FIRCON) 2026 marks the inaugural research convention organised by the Faculty of Syariah and Law (FSU), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), which brings together three major faculty-level conferences under one integrated platform, namely;

1. 6th International Conference of Postgraduate Students and Academics in Syariah and Law (INPAC 2026)
2. ⁠3rd International Seminar on Syariah and Law (INSLA 2026)
3. 4th CFORSJ International Conference on Syariah, Law and Science (4th CFORSJ i-CONF) 2026 


As a flagship research platform of FSU, FIRCON 2026 aims to gather researchers, postgraduate students, academics, and strategic partners in strengthening research culture, innovation, and international scholarly collaboration. This initiative reflects FSU’s commitment towards creating a dynamic ecosystem for knowledge exchange, dissemination of research findings, and the advancement of impactful studies in the fields of Syariah, Law, Halal, and related multidisciplinary areas.

The programme is aligned with the aspiration of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in strengthening the integration of Naqli and Aqli knowledge while supporting the implementation of the Malaysia MADANI agenda through research-driven solutions that contribute towards sustainable societal development. FIRCON 2026 also serves as a platform to enhance global academic networking and foster strategic collaborations among institutions, researchers, and industry stakeholders.

“Advancing Syariah and Law Through Research and Global Collaboration for a Sustainable Future”
The theme reflects FSU’s commitment to advancing research excellence through innovation, interdisciplinary engagement, and global collaboration. It highlights the significant role of Syariah and legal scholarship in addressing contemporary challenges, strengthening justice-oriented systems, and contributing towards the development of a sustainable future.

Through this theme, FIRCON 2026 emphasises the importance of impactful research that bridges theoretical knowledge and practical applications, while positioning Syariah and Law as dynamic fields capable of responding to evolving global issues.

PUBLICATION
All accepted papers presented at FIRCON 2026 will be published in the FSU Proceedings as an official compilation of scholarly contributions from researchers and participants. Selected outstanding articles that demonstrate high academic quality and meet the publication requirements will be considered for publication in Scopus-indexed journals and reputable refereed journals, subject to the respective peer-review processes and editorial guidelines of each journal.
