Online Platform (via zoom)

Theme: “Enhancing the Wellbeing of Society, Sustaining the Economy”

Financial literacy is a necessary knowledge in managing the financial decisions. It also involves an understanding on how a checking account works, investment opportunity as well as debt management. Lack of financial literacy somehow will affect one’s life especially during the global economic recession. Issues such as high household debts, uprising numbers of bankruptcy among the youths, inadequate savings for retirement, and mounting values of frozen estates are among the result of financial illiteracy. Acknowledging the massive knowledge gap that exists, the IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF) is organizing the International Conference on Islamic Financial Literacy (ICiFIL 2021) with the theme “Enhancing the Wellbeing of Society, Sustaining the Economy”. The event aims to provide a platform for discussion on the various issues related to financial literacy and how Islamic finance could provide solution for the wellbeing of the society thus, sustain the economy for the future.
