It is our great pleasure to announce the "5th International Conference on Agricultural and Food Engineering 2020” and we would like to invite you to participate in CAFEi2020. The Conference will be held virtually on February 3 - 4, 2021. The CAFEi2020 virtual conference by Universiti Putra Malaysia will be a joint conference with FRUTIC 2020 Symposium by ATB-Postdam.

The main objective of CAFEi2020 is to provide a forum to present and discuss new technologies in the area of Agricultural and Food Engineering, in line with the theme of the conference “Agriculture 4.0: The future for farming and food engineering”. This conference will identify new trends, opportunities and challenges that are relevant to the Agricultural and Food Industry. It will be a venue for critical discussion and potential solutions to overcome challenges due to global trends that influence food security and the overall sustainability of food and agriculture systems. In addition, this conference will also highlight development in research and innovation in Agricultural and Food Engineering.

This three-day event will feature recent findings from scientists, engineers, researchers, government authorities, academicians, economies, architects, journalist and entrepreneurs in the field, in the form of oral and poster presentation.

Selected abstracts with full papers will be recommended for publication in Scopus indexed journals. Presented papers which are not to be accepted for journals publication will be published in e proceedings with ISBN.

Please submit oral and poster abstract by 31st January 2020.

About CAFEi 2020

The Fifth International Conference on Agricultural and Food Engineering (CAFEi2020) will be hosted by the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering and the Department of Process and Food Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia. This conference will be held virtually on February 3 - 4, 2021.

About FRUTIC 2020

FRUTIC provides the platform for research network on emerging technologies or current issues in the industry. Topics capture technology advancement in production, harvest, postharvest, distribution and quality control of fruit, nut, and vegetables. This event is to provide a concerted platform that brings together academic scientists and all the role players from fresh produce industry, to interact with each other for the purpose of information dissemination, sharing practical experience and developing road maps for the most effective way to reach the common goals. The conference was previously held in USA, Japan, Europe and Latin America. Two times FRUTIC took place in cooperation with FRUIT LOGISTICA in Berlin, Germany and the last one took place in Hong Kong together with ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA.
