CALL FOR PAPERS

4th International Conference on Space Weather and Satellite Application2026 (ICESSAT2026) will bring together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from around the world. You are invited to submit paper online at ICESSAT2026.

4th International Conference on Space Weather and Satellite Application2026 (ICESSAT2026)

5 - 7 October 2026

Kunming Longway Muslim Friendly Hotel, Kunming, Yunnan, China

Theme: "Space Weather and Satellite Applications"

Background

The 4th International Conference on Space Weather and Satellite Applications (ICeSSAT2026), to be held in Kunming, Yunnan, China from 5 to 7 October 2026, marks the fourth edition of the conference following the successful organization of its third edition in 2024. The conference is proposed as a high-impact international institutional activity, aligned with UniSZA’s strategic efforts to strengthen global collaboration through the East Coast Environmental Research Institute (ESERI). This initiative is supported by strategic partnerships established through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between UniSZA, the National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (NAOC), Yunnan Observatories (YNAO), and MyFundAction, and is further reinforced by official invitations from both MyFundAction and YNAO.

ICeSSAT2026 will continue under the same conference theme and will be jointly organized with several local and international universities, as well as government agencies. Participating institutions are expected to include Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), i-SPES Japan, the Malaysian Space Agency (MySA), Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), and Kyushu University, among others.

The conference is expected to generate a substantial number of high-quality scholarly publications for dissemination through reputable conference proceedings and academic journals. These publications will contribute significantly to enhancing the research competencies, academic excellence, and publication performance of ESERI research fellows, postgraduate students, and research officers, while also strengthening international research networking and collaboration in the fields of space weather, satellite applications, and related disciplines.

Prof. Dr. Mohamad Huzaimy Jusoh
PhD, P.Eng, SMIEEE, CEM
Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UiTM

Biography:
Professor Dr. Mohamad Huzaimy bin Jusoh is a Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam, Malaysia, with over two decades of experience in academia, research, and industry. He holds a PhD in Space and Earth Electromagnetism from Kyushu University, Japan (2013), where his doctoral research investigated the relationship between solar activity and seismicity, a Master of Engineering in Communication and Computer from UKM (2007), and a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering from UiTM (2004). His broad research interests span space and earth electromagnetism, wireless instrumentation and communication systems, nanosatellite development, and polar exploration, and he has secured numerous competitive research grants from the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), and UiTM, with total funding running into the millions of ringgits. He is the Principal Investigator of the ASEANSAT project an international ASEAN collaborative initiative to develop a 1U nanosatellite with a high ground resolution camera and has played a pivotal role in advancing Malaysia's presence in the space technology arena. Beyond his research, Prof. Huzaimy has demonstrated outstanding leadership, having served as Head of Research and Innovation at UiTM's College of Engineering, led the Malaysian Antarctic Scientific Expedition in 2016, and currently serving on the Steering Committee for the National Antarctic Research Center (NARC) and as President of the Malaysia Alumni of Kyushu University. Within the global engineering community, he is a Senior Member of IEEE and has served as Chair of the IEEE ComSoc/VTS Malaysia Chapter, a Registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). A prolific scholar, he has authored more than 80 indexed journal articles, 75 conference papers, and 2 books, accumulating a Google Scholar H-index of 16 and over 1,000 citations, while also successfully supervising 14 postgraduate graduates across PhD and Master's levels, with several more currently ongoing.
