The 2nd International Conference on Islamic Finance and Sustainability (ICIFS 2027) provides an international platform for advancing high-quality research, evidence-based policy dialogue, and innovative solutions under the theme "Islamic Finance and Sustainability in a Fragmented World: Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact".

The conference seeks to foster critical discussions on how Islamic finance can contribute to building resilient financial systems, promoting sustainable development, strengthening financial inclusion, supporting the halal economy, harnessing responsible digital innovation, and generating tangible impacts for communities and economies worldwide.

By bringing together scholars, practitioners, regulators, industry leaders, and emerging researchers, the conference aims to bridge theory and practice while shaping the future trajectory of Islamic finance in an increasingly fragmented yet interconnected world.

Conference Streams

Papers in all areas of Islamic finance, accounting, and economics dealing with sustainable development issues are welcome. Specific topics include, but are not limited to:

1. Sustainable Islamic Finance and the SDGs

This stream explores how Islamic finance contributes to sustainable development through Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah, ESG, responsible investment, climate action, circular economy, green and sustainability-linked sukuk, impact investing, and financing mechanisms that support inclusive and resilient development.

This stream investigates how emerging technologies are reshaping Islamic finance while ensuring compliance with Sharīʿah principles and ethical innovation.
