TJC2017 brings together academicians, experts and practitioners to discuss and share their perspectives on governance issues towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It will feature Keynote Addresses by renowned speakers to highlight issues in governance and policy  towards SDGs. The Conference provides a platform for experts and researchers to present their works and share their knowledge, while the Workshop allows participants to share and deliberate on future strategies to achieve sustainable city, economy and community. Most importantly, TJC2017 provides an invaluable networking opportunity for all delegates to create and share research opportunity.


An extended abstract / Abstract of 450-500 words in Bahasa Malaysia or English is to be submitted through online submission system by 31st May 2017. Once accepted, a full paper of 6000-8000 words is to be submitted by 15th July 2017 for inclusion in the TJC2017 ISBN proceedings and to be considered for possible publication in TJC2017 partner journals. The final decision on publication, which may be subjected to further revision of the paper, will be taken by the editors of the journal. TJC2017 welcomes any papers including but not limited to the following themes:

Theme 1: Fostering Ownership and Inclusivity for Sustainable Community

Theme 2: Climate Change, Low Carbon Technology and Sustainable City
(Workshop 2 organized by UKM-Yayasan Sime Darby with CPD points)

Theme 3: Peace, Justice and Linking Human Rights to SDGs
(Workshop 3 organized by Faculty of Law UKM, SUHAKAM and ICRC with CPD points)

Theme 4: Sustainable Economy, Banking, Corporate Governance and Social Business
(Workhop 4 organized by MPOB-UKM and Yunus Centre for Social Business UKM)
