"Envisioning the Next Frontier in Islamic Economics & Finance: AI Transformation and Geopolitical Realignments"

Call for Papers

The global landscape is undergoing a profound transformation, shaped by accelerating advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), intensifying geopolitical realignments, and a resurgence of protectionist trade policies. These shifts are redefining economic priorities, financial systems, and governance structures worldwide. In this evolving context, Islamic economics and finance stand at a pivotal frontier—where visionary thinking and strategic adaptation are urgently needed. As Muslim-majority countries navigate these external disruptions alongside internal socio-economic challenges, the imperative grows to reimagine Islamic financial systems that are technologically agile, geopolitically aware, and ethically anchored. This conference theme invites scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to explore how Islamic economics and finance can harness AI innovations, respond to geopolitical shifts, and foster resilient, inclusive, and value-driven frameworks that advance shared prosperity across the Islamic world and beyond.
